On Pentecost, we celebrate the “Birthday of the Church,” the day the Holy Spirit came upon that gathering in Jerusalem many years ago, and energized the Disciples and those who gathered to hear God’s Word. The Spirit came to them, just as Jesus had promised before he ascended to the right hand of the Father.
Tomorrow we too will gather to hear God’s Word. We too have received the promise of Jesus that the Spirit will come to us, to guide and support us as we – the church – continue the work begun by our Lord and Savior.
Worship is at 9 am and 10:30 am, with Sunday School between services. It is traditional to wear red on Pentecost.
See you in church!
